MORTENSEN RACE REPORT FOR JULY 3, 2010

On Saturday July, 3 Mark Mortensen started eighth in the 20-lap Sportsman feature event after qualifying fourth in heat race number one. After having fuel pickup problems in both the warm-up session and the heat race event the pit crew of the #1M went to work changing the fuel filter, cleaning out the fuel line, and the carburetor jets. Their hard work paid off as the car ran well in the feature event. Two late race cautions slowed the feature event and on each of the restarts Mark gained five spots in the final two laps of the event finishing in the third position when the checkered flag waved.
